For this week's fantas_magoria "School Hard" Flash Challenge: "Spike has fought two Slayers in the last century, and... he's killed them both." says Giles. Write a haiku poem for each of those incidents.

I.
Girl’s fierce blood tells him
what her foreign tongue cannot:
he was meant for this.


II.
Assumes a new name
with his foe’s leather mantle:
Slayer of Slayers.

Very nice. Spike's discovery of a purpose in the first and his attainment of it in the second makes these two incidents, so far apart in time, connect.

Thank you for the feedback! I always imagine that there were probably at least a few Slayer battles in the intervening years where he got his ass handed to him, but I'll leave that to the fic people. The haiku, she can only do so much! ;)
