Threefold Birthday Greetings!

Today is the birthday of molly_may, mistress of meta, and penny_lane_42, writer of some of the most hauntingly lovely Spuffy fic I've ever read. Since I missed the way talented and graphically prolific buffy_the_vamp6's New Year's Eve birthday, I thought that I would throw a little joint journal party. Towards that end, I gathered up my Spike dolls and got to work. Three birthday girls, three vamps. Piece of cake, right?

Okay, in their defense, SchoolHard!Spike and AtS!Spike aren't quite the hardened seasoned photo shoot veterans that Doll!Spike has become. (Also, Doll!Spike's come-on is kinda' lame. You didn't hear it from me!) No big. *nervous giggle* We'll just take a little break and see what we can do to make them more comfortable with the process.



Okay, I was trying to be patient, but there are limits.

Turns out that AtS!Spike is trying to make a 5:00 p.m. showing of Tale of Despereaux with AtS!Angel. *eyeroll* Says it's their two-month anniversary or something. Whatever! *yells* Aw geez, would someone please go to craft services and get SchoolHard!Spike some more cooking sherry? Shut him up, people!


Um, I have to apologize for my completely inappropriate outburst. When the talent's not happy, I'm not happy. Unfortunately, Doll!Spike picked up on my bad example and ran with it all the way to the prop case, where he found SchoolHard!Spike's fire axe. What can I say? He's a take-charge kind of guy, and one with whom I'm not really inclined to argue right now.



Aww, there's the little plastic poet I know and love!

Srsly, I love my family, but we've been in each other's personal space 24/7 for over two weeks. The togetherness must end! I've started hiding in the laundry room and eating chocolate, which is never a good sign.

Yes! I know the French, and believe you me, they're coming for our hearts and minds. And they're not above using retail to get them! ;)

I know what you mean. We've had various family members and friends staying here on and off all through break and occasionally my mama and I would look at each other and we would both think, "Can we have our house back now please?" It doesn't matter how much we loved them--we needed our space book.

If Target is their weapon of choice, I'll gladly be taken over by them!

I swear, the Spike doll in the wife-beater is ridiculously expressive for a hunk of plastic. I'll winnow through the pics I've taken, and in most of them, he just looks like a toy. Then I'll find one of him looking right at the camera or leering like he means it. *whispers* I keep them locked in their little trunk now between shoots, just in case they turn on me per Philips' predictions.

Also, when you think about it, JM has such sharp, angular features that they're probably ideal for translation into the action figure medium. Srsly, I've seen Angel dolls that look more like gorillas than poor DB.

I tell ya, he's got a nasty temper and a low tolerance for prima donnas. I think I'm going to have to separate him from the limbless dolls for a while until he cools down a little.

Thanks so much, sweetie! *sheepish* I should probably get out my camera manual some time and figure out what I'm actually supposed to do with it! Right now, I just take a bamillion pics and then weed it down to something I like. Thank heavens for the digital age. ;)

Although, there does seem to be quite a bit of carnage in that last scene. I'm sorry two Spikes had to be dismembered just so I could get a proper birthday greeting, but it's their own fault for not behaving.

Hee! Thanks, sweetie. You wouldn't believe how much candle wax I've had to clean off of these poor little guys over the past months. I was telling the mister yesterday that I'd better keep and eye out for more black and white candles (I just happened to find those in the cupboard), because I'm going to run out soon.

I love School Hard Spike's expressions. He seems just little snarkier than the other two.
