I'm home sick with a sick kid today and thought I'd finish shepherding the stray Spaiku homewards. Guess I'm gonna have to start writing some new ones now, huh? Or do some actual housekeeping . . .

A/N: A little more magic & consequences. Four angsty haiku from the final moments of "Tabula Rasa," BtVS, S6. Written for the Spring 2008 round of seasonal_spuffy and dedicated to the always-inspirational beanbeans.
Feedback is even better than narcotic cough syrup.

The farce is over.
No relief from the stark truth:
everyone leaves her.


II.
Numb with misery,
she spurns his silent offer.
Fine--he's had enough.


III.
Stricken, she jumps up,
goes after him, determined
to make someone stay.


IV.
Ravenous kisses:
the spell may be broken, but
they’re no less bewitched.

Love your words -stark, numb, stricken. That kiss was wonderful, but Buffy was in a bad place.

Hahaha! It's so true. Sometimes I think that I'm only such a big fan of JM because he's so very pretty, but then I'll watch an episode, and I'll remember, "Nope. He really is that talented." And then I feel vindicated.
