Well, it looks as though Crushed Spaiku and 13 Spaiku About "Something Blue" have been nominated for Best Ficlet and Best Drabble over at the Fang Fetish Awards. Many thanks to whoever nominated me! I kinda' suspect that it was Mister Beta, which is, okay, a lot like all those times that my mom bought my entire stock of orchestra candy (yep, I wasn't even cool enough to sell band candy), but I'll take what I can get.

I also want to recommend [livejournal.com profile] rebcake's most recent work, a shockingly naughty NC-17 Spuffy FITB spanking fic . . . wait for it . . . written in limerick! *swoon* You can read this tiny masterpiece of poetic smut it here at [livejournal.com profile] darker_spike and here at [livejournal.com profile] nekid_spike. Hummina.

Finally, the highly talented [livejournal.com profile] shanmara over at [livejournal.com profile] nekid_spike has been so generous as to let me bring this cheeky little fellow home to my journal for the holidays. *happy sigh* God, I wish this were my Christmas card this year--so terribly wrong, and yet so very right.

NSFW: Santa Spike is coming to the countryside . . . )

ETA that [livejournal.com profile] rebcake's smutty little pretties are now available in unlocked form here at The Bloodshedverse.
[livejournal.com profile] drop_edge just sent me this delightful little interview with Joss about knitting, crocheting, and crafting in general. The audio is kinda' scratchy, but there's a transcript here.
In [personal profile] philips' most recent journal entry, Wanna see Spike's chips?, I made a comment that was apparently so disturbing that it moved her to write a ficlet about my poor (according to her, anyway) Spike and Angel dolls. It made me laugh until I cried and scared the cats, and there's just no way I'm going to let it languish as an unread footnote. Please enjoy the gift to the world that is her sense of the funny.
Title: A Doll Tragedy
Author: [personal profile] philips
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Spike & Angel (Mere implied)
Warnings: Sad, sad little dolls.
A/N: I hope you're happy. Your disturbing brutality is all I could think about at work.

[personal profile] philips  has written a beautiful series of five BtVS drabbles around the notion of "keepsakes," and I highly recommend it.  (In fact, I want to go back and add to my comments as more things occur to me, but I don't want to weird her out. Heh.)

Happy Friday! I have some pimping to do here. If anyone needs a little pick-me-up this morning, I highly recommend reading [profile] powerofthebook's epistolary fic "Xander Harris and the Dark Lord: An Excruciating Correspondence." It's a hilarious and oddly touching revelation of the letters exchanged by a manservant and his unholy prince from BtVS seasons 5 through 7. (The correspondence is alluded to in the latest Season Eight comic, but it's certainly not necessary to have read the comics in order to appreciate the fic.) Enjoy!

If your Monday morning is as "meh" as mine, I strongly recommend that you head over to [personal profile] philips' LJ and enjoy her diabolically funny first fic, The Caseus Prize. (I re-read it this morning and nearly shot tea out of my  nose. For realz.) *snorfle* I think I can safely say that you've never seen Spike and Buffy in this particular situation before.

Happy Monday to all.

[profile] selinde2 has composed some frightfully clever haiku about Spike and Dru for [profile] seasonal_sd.  If you like Spaiku, then you'll love these. Enjoy!
